Job 140: Electrical Engineer II

Requirements:

  • ​4-year bachelor degree in electrical engineering plus 3 years relevant experience.
  • Altium and OrCAD Capture proficiency.
  • Excellent analysis skills, strong interpersonal skills, written and oral communication in English (either native or fluent ESL).
  • Expert knowledge of how electronics circuits and components work.​
  • Legally authorized to work in the USA, no relocation assistance available.
  • Proficient knowledge of computers in business (e-mail, text/spreadsheet editing).
  • Organization skills, taking pride and ownership in the workspace to keep it tidy and safe.

Location: Cary, NC 

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create symbols, schematics and component BOMs using design tools (Altium and OrCad Capture)
  • Design circuits using EE theory and practical experience
  • Select components based on data sheets
  • Create proof-of-concept "bread boards" to demonstrate function
  • Identify like kind and quality alternate components that preserve function
  • Generate net lists and BOMs for downstream PCB design phases
  • Read in net lists and DXF files for connectivity and mechanical 
  • Write firmware that is fully functional, error-free, robust with maintainable source code
  • Operate power, load and test equipment to bring up and troubleshoot PCBs
  • Self-manage multiple projects within given priorities
